This Is How Israeli Innovation Is Saving The Elderly Community

Sheatufim, an Israeli philanthropic startup, together with 2 other nonprofit organizations - Zionism 2000 and the National Initiatives Fund, has initiated a special action plan to rescue the elderly population and prevent a collapse of the overwhelmed Israeli healthcare system

Israel is well known as the startup nation. It might be that the country’s many unique and urgent needs lead its brightest minds to look for innovative ideas in a wide range of fields. It might be a mentality of choosing efficiency over protocol and hierarchy or perhaps there is another secret ingredient. In any case, Israel has more startups per capita than any other country.

As COVID-19 takes its toll on Israel, this middle eastern country is proving once again that innovation can work wonders in ‘life and death’ situations.

Sheatufim, an Israeli philanthropic startup, together with 2 other nonprofit organizations (Zionism 2000 and the National Initiatives Fund), has initiated a special action plan named “Veshamarta” (meaning “you shall care for”) to rescue the elderly population and prevent a collapse of the overwhelmed Israeli healthcare system.
